Product Description

The Audi A4 B8 automatic pilot retrofit kit is designed for owners looking to add compatible driver-assistance technology to an Audi A4 B8 Sedan.

Depending on the specific hardware configuration, a retrofit may involve integrating electronic control modules, sensors, switches, wiring, and other components with the vehicle’s existing systems.

Because Audi A4 B8 vehicles were produced with different equipment levels and electronic configurations, compatibility cannot be determined by model alone. The vehicle’s model year, control modules, existing driver-assistance equipment, steering-wheel configuration, instrument cluster, wiring, and software may all affect the installation.

Vehicle Fitment

Potential application:

• Audi A4 B8 Sedan
• B8 platform
• Exact model year and equipment configuration must be verified

Important Fitment Information

Before ordering, please verify:

• Audi A4 B8 model year
• Sedan body style
• Existing driver-assistance equipment
• Vehicle control-module configuration
• Steering-wheel and switch configuration
• Wiring compatibility
• Required sensors/modules
• Software and coding requirements
• VIN compatibility
• Exact components included in the kit

Coding & Calibration

Electronic driver-assistance retrofits commonly require coding, adaptation, diagnostics, and calibration after installation.

Depending on the components included, professional equipment may be required to:

• Code replacement control modules
• Configure the retrofit to the vehicle
• Clear diagnostic faults
• Adapt electronic systems
• Calibrate applicable sensors
• Verify communication between control modules
• Confirm that all driver-assistance functions operate correctly

Do not rely on driver-assistance functions until the complete system has been professionally installed, configured, and calibrated.

Installation

Professional installation is strongly recommended because this retrofit involves vehicle electronics and potentially safety-related driver-assistance systems.

Before installation, confirm the complete contents of the kit and compare the supplied components with the equipment already installed in the vehicle.

After installation, the system should be scanned for diagnostic faults and fully tested under appropriate conditions.

Safety Notice

This retrofit does not make the Audi A4 fully autonomous. Driver-assistance systems are designed to assist the driver, and the driver remains responsible for controlling the vehicle and complying with local traffic laws.

Never use a retrofit driver-assistance system unless it has been correctly installed, coded, calibrated, and verified.

Condition

Condition should be verified from the individual listing.

If the kit is pre-owned, components may show normal signs of previous use such as minor cosmetic marks or surface wear. Please review product photographs carefully to confirm the actual condition and included components.
